Perched atop a ridge in the middle of some of our best vines, it’s hard to believe that a place such as Quinta do Vedeal even exists. Total privacy and indescribable views of the Douro and La Rosa’s vineyards from every angle make it the perfect retreat from which to watch the world go by.
The house
The house has been recently refurbished to a high standard. A modern, well-equipped kitchen has everything you would need for the week. Two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms (all ensuite) are accompanied by a generous living room. However, Vedeal’s true beauty lies outdoors.
Location
Secluded seating areas, each with its own view, give the house its idyllic charm. During the summer the veranda is the heart of the home — the perfect place to eat and drink in the outstanding views. Should you wish to cook outside, a barbecue has been provided. The modern plunge pool is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the views of the Douro, as well as the Rio Torto valley in the distance.
