The port shipping company, Feueheerd Bros, is sold to the Barros Family. Thankfully, La Rosa remains in family hands as it was Claire’s personal property. Grapes are sold to Sandeman and others.

First Port Production

Tim, together with his daughter, Sophia, relaunches Quinta de la Rosa. La Rosa starts making port under its own label again and soon after is one of the first Quintas to produce wine.

Tim fulfils ambition of owning a Quinta in the Douro Superior by buying Quinta das Bandeiras. The Passagem brand is launched.

The Future of La Rosa

Tim’sTerrace opens in loving memory of Tim who passed away the year before.

Over the years La Rosa’s wines and ports have continued to receive 95+ points and have grown in standing culminating in the invitation to join the top 273 wineries in the world at Wine Spectator’s New York Wine Experience.
